Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Pak 'n Post Shift Leader / Sales Associate to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely packaging and shipping of various parcels.
Your meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to providing excellent service will contribute to the smooth operation of our shipping department.
Responsibilities:
Carefully and accurately package a variety of items for shipment, ensuring they are appropriately protected and labeled.
Utilize shipping software and tools to generate shipping labels and documentation for outbound parcels.
Inspect packages for damage, missing items, or discrepancies before sealing and labeling.
Collaborate with team members to prioritize shipments and meet daily shipping deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organized packing area to optimize efficiency and safety.
Adhere to company policies and guidelines for proper packaging, labeling, and handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
Communicate with customers and internal teams to address inquiries, provide shipment updates, and resolve any issues related to packages.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking shipments as required.
Operate and maintain packaging equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing packing and shipping procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is a plus.
experience in packaging and shipping, preferably in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
Owning initiative and jumping into new tasks daily Extremely personable, positive, and approachable Enthusiastic attitude in person and over the telephone Detail orientated and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Comfortable standing for long periods of time Be comfortable working shifts alone Familiarity with shipping software and computer skills to generate labels and track shipments.
Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and vendors.
Physical ability to lift, move, and handle parcels of varying sizes and weights.
(up to 50 pounds) Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to packaging and shipping.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
