This position includes two afternoons and evenings (Tuesday and Thursday) per week and at least three Saturdays per month with a possibility of other hours as required (up to 21 hours per week).
Duties:
Perform routine circulation functions such as checking library materials in and out, collecting fines, registering patrons, filling reserves, completing clerical tasks and shelving books.
Provide ready and directional reference service to citizens.
Assist patrons in using the on-line catalog and finding materials.
Assist librarians in preparing for and conducting library programs.
Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Requires accurate computer skills, careful attention to instructions, good interpersonal communication skills, good telephone skills, flexibility and ability to work well under stress and maintain a welcoming attitude.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred.
High school diploma or GED with 1 to 2 years post-secondary education and training or experience in library science, liberal arts or related field preferred.

Pay:
$15.
00 per hour up to 21 hours per week.
