Directly responsible for maintaining receiving, shipping, inventory control, facilities maintenance, loss prevention, training, transportation and purchasing of supplies.

Distribution Center Manager, Dallas (2007 – 2009)

Promoted to lead a new distribution operation in Texas; oversaw all facets of the start-up of a 400,000 sq ft facility servicing more than 130 retail stores in a five-state region, provided leadership and direction to a team of 50, administered a $3.5MM annual facility budget, managed $10MM in inventory, and ensured timely availability and delivery of goods.  Planned and directed shipping, receiving, storage, inventory control, production, loss prevention, facility maintenance, and human resources functions.  Measured productivity against company metrics.  Reviewed and approved expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines. Initiated rollout of SAP conversion for the Distribution division. Worked with WM module of SAP. Spent time training on IM and MM modules.


§ Built a brand new distribution operation from the ground up; successfully delivered $500,000 in transportation savings and achieved objective for improving service to the mid-west market.


§ Led the design, development and integration of two warehouse operating systems resulting in payroll savings of $88,000 annually. 


Distribution Center Manager, West Palm Beach (2004 – 2007)

Oversaw all operational and financial performance of a new 115,000 sq ft distribution center; coordinated the activities of 40+ employees tasked with servicing 110 business units across three states.  Controlled $7.5MM in inventory, planned and managed up to $3MM annual operating budget, directed inbound and outbound transportation of goods.


§ Orchestrated the relocation of an existing distribution center to a more cost-effective, centralized location and captured $172,500 in monthly savings.

Optimized warehouse space utilization, simultaneously increased storage capacity, and reduced warehouse footprint by 20,000 sq ft.

§ Conceived, developed and implemented a supply chain strategy to support the start-up of a new business division with planned revenue of $20 million. 

§ Led a project team to integrate a new inventory management system; analyzed the operating functions prior to implementation, communicated specific requirements to allow for system customizations, and reduce downtime with existing system.

Senior Operations Supervisor

Supervised the shipping and receiving of $450,000 in inventory daily; ensured all vendor inventory requests were met within the negotiated allotted times.  Scheduled deliveries, assigned work load, maintained shift productivity, communicated with other facilities to achieve proper inventory mixes, chaired company safety committee, motivated and coached employees on a daily basis.


§ Created and implemented a tracking system linked to each distribution center to track cross-dock movement of goods; the new system generated fleet savings of $37,000 in the first three months.


§ Captured $20,000 in waste removal cost savings in the first year through the implementation of a recycling program; successfully offset initial investment of $8,500.
